MOOSE RIDERS NEWS
Mother nature seems to be taking her good old time bringing on the riding weather. I think maybe she doesn't get out of the house much anymore and is just plain jealous of those of us on two wheels! Anyway, we're still early in the season and there are a couple of events to mention in the near future. Due to the numerous suggestions and veiled threats, we will be having our next Glow Party on April 25th in the social quarters. The Traveling Trophy ride will be hosted by the Lewistown Moose FC on Saturday June 25th. Kick stands up at 11:00 AM, the ride begins and ends at the Lewistown Lodge. The Moose Riders will be having a Cash Party on October 4th in the ballroom. The public is invited.
The Moose Riders will be doing our final Wing Nite for the season on Thursday April 3rd. The Moose Legion will be taking over for the summer with essentially the same format.
Moose Rider monthly meetings will be held April 21st, May 19th and June 16th, all Mondays at 6:00 PM. All Moose Rider members are encouraged to show up and lend their thoughts.
To everyone at Lewistown Lodge 143, the Moose Riders hope you had a safe and happy Spring 2014.

YES IT IS TRUE.
Many of the members have heard me talking about retirement. Well the time has come, I am retiring. My involvement with the Moose Organization began in 1992. I devoted many years and many hours here at the lodge. Now it's time to sit back and enjoy life. Applications for the Administrator's position will begin on April 1st, and will be accepted up to April 30, 2014. Any Lodge member who would be interested in this position must turn in a letter of intent and a resume'. After the new Board of Officers take office on May 1st, they will begin interviewing all applicants for this position.
With this being my last comment for the newsletter, I thank all the members who have supported me, all the different board members that I have worked with, as well as the employees, and a special thanks to the one I consider the backbone of this Lodge, my secretary, Linda Grassmyer.

Robert E. McCartney, Jr,
Administrator
