I would like to thank those members who sponsored a new member during the last campaign! I look forward in seeing you along with plenty of others sponsoring your friends, neighbors and relatives into the greatest fraternity – The Moose. I look forward in serving with some fine brothers this year and seeing the improvements grow around the lodge and new ideas and functions that will pop up for all to enjoy. Congratulations on the lodge Relay for Life team, Team Moose, for finishing third this year and raising almost $12,000.00 towards the fight against cancer! And a special thanks for your continued support with their efforts. The ballroom is slated to receive some modern upgrades within the coming months, please pardon the dust and help spread the news that the Moose Ballroom is coming with the times and will be renovated! Of course with renovations comes the “Help Needed” phrase, so polish up your hammers, paint brushes and come on in and lend a hand, your help is always appreciated.
Later this month, July 20th, the Mooseheart boys from the Canada Home will be visiting our lodge, please show your support and come and visit with them and hear their story and let them Thank You for being a Moose!
Now let’s talk Kitchen – We’ve tried opening seven days a week and the profit margins weren’t great, so that leaves us with returning to our summer hours where the kitchen will only be opened Thursday – Sunday, however there will be regular daily soups, sandwiches and even hoagies for purchase at the social quarters Mon-Wed and our regularly scheduled meal nights plan to continue. (i.e. Chic & Waffles, Pizza, Spaghetti and Meatballs, etc.) This will start July 6th and we will resume extended hours on September 28th.
Lastly, I thank each and every one of you for supporting the lodge throughout the year.

Fraternally - Matthew Reik, Administrator
